Microsoft Cloud App Security and Mindflow have partnered to enable users to automate their incident management and better protect their information systems.

Microsoft Cloud App Security Overview

Microsoft Cloud App Security (CAS) is a cloud access security broker (CASB) that adds a layer of security for all of the SaaS apps your company uses.

CAS takes the turn to the cloud migration trend by providing a security suite designed in this environment. Conventional security suites that weren’t built with cloud apps in mind can leave blind spots in an IT administrator’s field of view. The increased visibility and more robust control allow organizations to feel secure in moving more information to the cloud because they know it is always available, compliant and protected.

To that end, CAS collects detailed information about all the SaaS apps in use across the entire organization and aggregates it in a single console. Using CAS, your admins can monitor and remediate unusual activity, block risky SaaS apps, and configure policies on a granular level.

CAS has multiple deployment modes you can use to integrate it within your existing architecture:

  • Log collection from firewalls, secure web gateways, and SIEMs
  • API connectors provided by the cloud provider
  • Reverse Proxy architectures integrated with Azure AD or your IdP

Regardless of whether users are on the network, CAS can identify all the cloud apps and services you use. Any suspicious activity is automatically prioritized for individual users, web apps, and separate instances of the same API-connected apps. All relevant data is captured on managed or unmanaged devices.

With Microsoft Cloud App Security, your employees can see up-to-date information about every cloud app, IP address, DLP alerts, and more from the dashboard.

  • CAS identifies the cloud apps, IaaS, and PaaS services your organization uses. It investigates usage patterns assesses the risk levels and business readiness of more than 16,000 SaaS apps against more than 80 risks to ensure security and compliance
  • Understand, classify, and protect the exposure of your sensitive information at rest across all your cloud apps
  • Detect unusual behavior across cloud apps to identify ransomware, compromised users, or rogue apps, analyze high-risk usage and remediate automatically to limit the risk to your organization
  • Assess if your cloud apps meet relevant compliance requirements, including regulatory compliance and industry standards. Prevent data leaks to non-compliant apps, and limit access to regulated data
