Snipe IT Overview

Snipe IT is an IT asset management tool. It enables IT departments to track who has their hands on which device, when it was purchased, which software licenses and accessories are available, and much more.

The solution is Open source and comes in different pricing models, from free if hosted on your half to hosted instances by Snipe.

From the dashboard, you can access your device float’s recent activity (check-in, check out, updates, or disposed of) and an overall view of what devices you have under watch.

You can quickly see what assets are currently deployed, pending (awaiting software installs, out for repair), or archived (lost, stolen or broken). You can see which assets are assigned, to whom, and their physical location through other panels in the solution. Check them back into inventory with one click, or see the asset’s complete history.
