MalwareBazaar Overview

MalwareBazaar is a free resource that collects known malicious malware samples and enriches them with additional intelligence. Limiting data collection to samples allows MalwareBazaar to provide a massive quantity of data to improve the detection tools without download restrictions.

Malware samples referenced in blog posts, whitepaper, or mentioned on social media like Twitter are usually not easily available. You need to register on hundreds of different online anti-virus scanning engines, sandboxes, or malware databases to obtain the malware sample you need for your analysis. Some of these platforms come with download restrictions, and some other platforms are available for paying users only. On the web-based platform, IT-security researchers can share malware samples with the community without hitting download restrictions or paying expensive subscription fees.

There is no need to register on different online anti-virus scanning engines, sandboxes, or malware databases to obtain the malware sample you need for your analysis.
